Recognition Dinner for Female Veterans
The VA CT Women’s Clinic, in partnership with the West Haven VA Voluntary Service, will co-host a Women’s Recognition Dinner for female Veterans that have gone above and beyond the call of duty in the civilian or military sector. We are enthusiastic to provide our Women Soldiers with a meaningful dinner that shows our community appreciation to their selfless-service and exemplify these endeavors that our female soldiers have accomplished. Blackhorse 4 Heroes is assisting with the help of Lisa Miro from the town of Bridgeport, and together we are planning a dinner event for 100 people, free to female veterans and a guest.
Top 10 Nominees.
We are looking for 10 female veterans to distinctly honor on Valentine’s Day. If you know an exceptional female veteran, you have hereby been tasked to provide Voluntary Service with a 100 word script that exemplifies the Veteran’s attributes. Each administrator can nominate one female Veteran that has gone above and beyond in providing selfless-service to their community, family, and their fellow Veterans. Descriptions of the attributes to keep in mind are stated below.
Ten female Veterans will be chosen from the nominees. We will be sending out an RSVP to the Veteran once we receive their full name, telephone number, and address, including a 100 word description of their endeavors. The nominator will be asked to attend to read the submission letter in support of the Veteran. This is a family friendly event for the families of the Veteran.
Please email your nomination to Parra, Fausto, Fausto.Parra@va.gov.
